The Moore Pediatric Surgery Center is a 12,000 square foot, modern, short-stay surgery center in the heart of Guatemala City.

The Center offers three operating rooms, four post-op beds, and 20 recovery beds. It also boasts an in-house pharmacy, nurses' stations, family waiting areas, laundry facilities and a commercial kitchen.

The Moore Center operates under American medical standards and procedures. Of course safety is a top priority, so as such 24-hour security is provided as well as private parking.

The Moore Center is fully furnished although some specialty equipment and certain supplies are still needed. Because of these vast amenities, the model for Shalom Foundation medical mission trips is very cost effective and only requires that medical teams bring minimal specialty equipment along, as necessary.

"I've never seen that before in Guatemala. It is something that puts us all at ease in terms of quality of care"
- Dr. Fred Deleyiannis, Chief Surgeon Children's Hospital Colorado
